Thyroid disease & myeloma

    There is increased risk of getting myeloma if you have thyroid disease for 10 years plus. There also appears to be increased chance of developing thyroid disease after SCT and some other myeloma treatments, esp lenalidomide. The positive to this is that hypothyroidism appears associated with longer survival, so not entirely a bad thing.
    Has anyone else got known thyroid issues? I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at the same time as myeloma, when a nodule which turned out to be a small thyroid cancer was also found.
    I have heard of other patients with IgG lambda myeloma who have thyroid disease, does anyone else?
