Hi one and all, I have been absent without leave from the site for awhile now. It all started when I had to re-install win 7. My computer would randomly crash. It was my fault I tried to be just a little to clever and it did not work – enough said I think (hiding red face). In penance I have sorted out my Grandchildren’s computers, the…[Read more]

I have just woken up, dex affect, at 3:30 am and I immediately started coughing. I have now been on my computer, which is now alive and well, and the cough is…[Read more]

    Hello Carole

Merry Christmas! Ultimately the decision has to be yours. My partner Colin had the transplant. He had this in November 2013. I spend a…[Read more]

    Hi nick

Welcome to the forum. My Larner Colin was diagnosed age 56, no interim just straight into mm. One back bone fracture which was amazing given the level of his light chains (31000) and pps were 17. Hey all

Well done chris glad you are doing ok! Hope you are continuing to feel well. Colin still gets very tired but am convinced that’s to Do with the fact he’s on heavy duty pain killers for the initial back fracture. That’s got him down as he gets confident, does a lot and then is wiped out for 3 or 4 days. For me the worry is mm on the…[Read more]

    Hi there,

My tip is be positive, think positive and try to only read sites like this. The rest scare you. I know it’s hard to be positive sometimes as it can look bleak, however try to as it will make you and hopefully your dad feel better. Remember 70 is the new 60 🙂

    Good luck with the treatment.

    Dear Janet and family,

I’ve had trouble logging in and have only just read this very sad news. To you all I send our condolences. Dai’s ability to paint a picture of his circumstances, even when they were some what messy….cdiff stories, could always inject a sense of humour. He was so encouraging and enormously knowledgeable. Hi guys, As you are aware from my previous posts I am just hopeless in this sort of situation, just can’t get the words right on paper for some reason.

Can I just second what you have said and just add that I held him in such high regard that I still find it hard to come to terms with the fact that he has gone.
