    Hi Mavis

Hey that great about the pps, what a great feeling that is!!!! Don't worry about missing DDT as long as you're off it that's all that matters, ha ha!. On a serious note I don't know about C D T, cook was on revlimid, he has been off treatment for 4 wks now roughly, and seems ok x

    Good luck and keep well

  • Hi Ann, I just picked up your post asking about holiday insurance. To go to Spain, in May, cost £250 for both Mo and me. However my wife works at an Insurance Broker so she had staff discount, plus, I am not under any treatment at the moment. This was for 7 days and the insurance was bomb proof.

My only criteria are that Mo should not be…[Read more]

    Hi Stuart

Thank you very much. We will have a look at both. How is your wife doing now? Did she have many side effects afterwards?

  • Hey dee that's great. I wondered how you and your dad were doing!

That's great, these medical teams can work their magic

Take care and I hope your dad carries on making the progress he has . Take care

  • The staff at Bristol were wonderful and my experience was very straightforward. I even got to go home for the first three nights as I live close by. As levels fall you sleep more and more, so days pass quite quickly. The rooms in Haemotology at Bristol are quite pleasant and you don,t really feel isolated. I had difficulty eating and drinking…[Read more]

    Hey Ann and Pete,

Glad you got the insurance. Have a really great relaxing time, hope the sun, sand and sangria (I assume they have that on Menorca), will have the desired effect.:-)

We are in the waiting game now. Bone marrow biopsy yesterday……as usual sooooo painful. Still to coin a phrase, onwards and upwards.

    Hi Andy

Sorry to hear your pps went up a bit, praps it's just a glitch. Any way at least you had a good break. We Brits know that sunshine hols are a bonus not the norm. An old boss of mine had a phrase, KBO. It took me a while to work out-keep battling on!!. Keep doing that. I reckon Toms recipe of vodka and red wine might be the answer, try…[Read more]

    Hi Jen,

Re your dad looking poorly. When my partner started his treatment, and right up to cycle 7 he had a pasty, sallow look about him, that ranged from really pale then flushed. I assumed it was the medication. Now that he is off treatment waiting for the next stage he does look more like himself. Although he does get very very tired and…[Read more]

    Hey eve ,

Please to hear that things are on the up for you and Slim. Glad to hear that the bloods are on the up. I love Dai's phrase, rebooting the system! Sounds less scary that SCT. Hope everything continues in the same vein. Colin had the second bone marrow aspirate today because the other one last week wasn't a good enough sample. He said…[Read more]

P.S. When did the "young Bride" become the "old Women" or have I missed something?

  • Hi Mari, 11th July Scilly Isle. As I am cleared to travel for that and our trip to Minoca in August I can now sort out the Insurance again 😎

You are right Keith I wil not neglect the water. I am just going to try to get my blood appointment at 9:00 a.m. I would normally have drunk only one pint by then.

  • Hi Guys and Gals, Happy to report my 3 month check up at the Beacon Centre Taunton went well. Bloods all ok. My pp was up slightly to 2.8 from 2.4 but as the rest of the blood measurements are all normal it is not a problem. Next check end of September.
