He is back in isolation as they want to figure out why he keeps being sick after every meal. His blood pressure was way too low and they think he may have an infection. Thanks for the reassurance though

He came out on Saturday after three weeks after his stem cell treatment and seemed fine on Sat. On sunday he started being very sicky and nearly collapsing. He is now back in is this a normal occurrence?

Yes he is being treated at the Royal and not taking his anti sickness medication at the moment not sure why. been told not to worry now by my mum and not to fuss

No hes not in hospital they are doing this stage at home and goes back in on tuesday to collect the stem cells. Are you meant to be in hospital during this stage?

He has had the beginnings of stem cell therapy with one massive dose of chemotherapy and keeps being sick in the morning, he wasn’t sick on the velcade so does this mean that this treatment is not suited to him? he has also lost his appetite? Does it mean the kidney failure is coming back as the sickness is not every day? I’m fed up now which…[Read more]

Scared now as apparently this is a common area for that cancer and that if you are related it increases your chances of getting it. Not sure what to do any more

Dad’s specialist said we have to stay away from American sites. Fortunately I guess we live near one of the top hospitals for research for blood cancers so that is good. He is currently on velcade i think and steroids and millions of other tablets. Not quite sure how to make this easier for him.

He is 70 so quite old I guess so I’m not sure whether he could go for stem cell transplant. Kidneys are improving now at 38% I think they were at 10% when he went in. Hopefully they continue to improve and get better. That’s good that people go into remission I scared myself a bit by going on other websites. Not a good idea. He has never had any…[Read more]

Admittedly this was about four weeks ago now and it was such a shock as he has always been fit and healthy individual and it was discovered after he went into renal failure.
