    Hello Helen

Just read your post, congratulating you on getting through your 28 days post sct, I'm a carer for my hubby kev who is now coming up to post 6 months sct and doing well hair grown back straight! ( was curly b4) but as always kept it short.
He has had some niggles but getting stronger everyday and getting back doing his gardening, been fishing all day.
Goes to see the prof: end of the month so hopefully find out he's in remission! So Helen take it one day at a time listen to your body and take plenty of rest and you will get stronger everyday. Take care 🙂

    Love liz & kev xx

    Hello Bridget
Sorry to hear you are having such a bad time hope the pain subsides quickly!
When kev had radiotherapy after breaking his sternum it was a great help in releaving
The pain, so I hope it works for you and also I know the thought of the hospice worries you
But they are the best when it comes to pain relieve for the individual and putting your mind at rest.
Look after yourself Bridget and hope you soon start feeling better!

Love & hugs liz xx 🙂

    Hi all,
My names liz and Kevin my hubby was diagnosed with mm august 2010 one year ago
Where's it gone! It's just been so full on with his treatment resulting in sct in April and hopefully
End of sept: will hear the words your in remission!! The best part of 2010 he was being treated
For frozen shoulder, and operated on bone damage to his knee and all the time the mm was getting
Worse it was having tests for anemia that confirmed he had mm and his kidneys were showing signs
Of failing but thankfully caught in time.

P.s. Let's hope we get a good outcome end of September?
Apart from some aches & pains he's doing ok!

    Love to everyone xxxx liz.:-)

On velcade. Kev's just 3 months post sct and getting lot of bone pain / really bad pn / and tired all the time, he is thinking
Of going back on tramadol to help him get through the night, we were even thinking of emailing our myeloma nurse to see if like you say there are symptoms/ side affects and the best way to deal with, it's all frustrating and I hope you are feeling better quite soon, love reading you're post's Dai keep thinking positive.

Hello chrissie, just been reading your post sorry to hear your news but like everybody on this forum find it a great comfort with good advice and a bit of humor aswell, these first few months of treatment are hard and also wondered is it worth what they have to go through, in our case in the beginning I would have said the same as you but now since aug: 2010 kev is finely and slowly getting better he is now 2 months post stem cell transplant and things are looking really good.

Love to you and your family chrissie and hope things get a little better each day!

Hello everyone, thank you all for your input, I did ring the hospital and you are all right in that I should not have worried about ringing them and also it does seem to be bone pain from the GCSF which he did have for a couple of weeks after sct
Just up't his painkillers and it seems to be settling down.
Again thank you all what a lovely bunch you are!

    Love liz xx
