Sorry to hear the infection is still not been seen off! You are doing the right thing in going to daycase, hope they get to the bottom of it and get rid once and forall.
We were at daycase today kev having his 5th cycle vel/dex and still struggling with the PN in his feet they have prescribed a painkiller GABAPENTIN so let's hope this works. Having got home his pesky cough seems to have returned so now keeping a close eye on him What is it and these infections they seem to be hanging around far to long!! And Dai your subject heading well that's kev at the moment.

Hi Ali,

Glad to hear your mums sct went well, she sounds like a very strong lady and a good sign that she is managing some food.
When kev had his he didn't eat until he got home and then it was little and often, but the one thing he took was the anti sickness tablets / mouthwash which did the job but he did sleep for Britain! The staff on fletcher ward were brilliant,
So as Tom would say -Onwards and upwards from now on.

Hi trish,

When kev had his sct April 2011 he was started on his vaccines in August 2011 I think one them was tetanus and then in oct: flu jab and in may of this year he had a jab for meningitis and was told he's up to date, hope that helps also this was all done through our GPs practice nurse,
