Good Morning Roz I am so glad the nurse is keeping you informed and I hope she gets that meeting arranged quickly Have they checked Michaels calcium levels ? If it is too high it leads to confusion , which could be sorted easily I am crossing fingers and toes the weather doesnt stop you going to see Michael , its a nuisance for us all !!love Bridget x

Hi Debs so glad it hasnt been too awful for you The taste thing is my worst side-effect I can just about tolerate everything else but I love my coffee!!Keep an eye on those bruises and mention them when you go as you could be getting low on platelets Take care love Bridget x

Hi Donna it does sound as if calcium could be causing your dads confusion , my father-in-law had similiar earlier this year Once they got his calcium lowered he got back to normal fairly quickly. You are wise to get a second opinion hope you get some answers Best wishes Bridget

Hi Sandie hope things go well for your mum she sounds as if she is coping with it ok As for the biopsy it can be painful so your mum should ask to be sedated, I always do , then its just a bit sore for a couple of days. Roz,
Peter does not talk much to me about his mm, and having been off work for 18months he was pretty much reliant on me for any conversation.
His boss came round on 2 or three occasions in all that time and he chatted to him, then his boss got bowel cancer and started on Chemo etc.

Hi Georgina hope you are well . I had been on parmidronate for almost 4 yearsand my doctor felt a change would be useful Also there have been some studies which have shown that zometa when used with dex and velcade has had an effect on myeloma cells . love Bridget x

The powders peter was given sound like the ones Bridgest speaks of and they are called PRO-CAL. Peter used them when he lost over 4 stone in weight. Only on prescription and really are tasteless.
