Peter had Baloon kyphplasty done on 3 of his lower vertebra in December last year, He had immediate relief from the pain, and gained about an inch in height. He went from taking mega doses of morphine to taking 2 paracetamol. There are several reasons for them not being able to give you back height

Hi Gavin I am not too sure I can help much with your decision as each of us is different . I did go for the chemo option , but in my case the damage was extensive and severe and I was stage 3 when diagnosed. Hi Min I am lucky as I have only been breathless a couple of times ,iy must be a bit scary.I do occasionally have nose bleeds , nothing dramatic and usually when my platelets are a bit low .Good news about the kyphoplasty ,I just wish it was suitable for me but not so My mum who is 84 frequently tells me off for lifting anything as she worries I…[Read more]

Peter had the last injection of his first cycle of velcade today, he is looking forward to the next 10 days without meds. But from the outset he has been very breathless, whenever he walks or climbs stairs.

Hi Kevin you really have been through it this yearheres hoping that was your last hospital stay for a very long while !!
