Keep fighting my friend you just never know what is around the corner. July 2009 I was told in no uncertain terms that I would not make my 50th Wedding Anniversary. I have just had a great weekend with my children and am looking forward to a Ten Pin Bowling and Pizza night with my grandchildren on Saturday, celebrating my 50th which was on the 24th Nov. I am now looking forward to my 70th on the 2nd Jan.

Hi Helen, My Daughter with my Wife behind her are on the left. I am on the right with my son behind me.

We have just come back from a beech bar, where we had a great curry, and are getting ready to go home tomorrow. I struggled a bit getting up the hill:-) .

A completely different anniversary for us but probably the best anniversary we have had thanks to my son and daughter and their partners.

Thursday night we had an excellent dinner with 6 of our very close friends, friends that have stood the test of time and been through the ups and downs of life with us.

We are now in a 5 star log cabin, log fires and hot tubs in Porthtowan, just east of St Agnes in Cornwall with our son and daughter and their other halves. The weather is not good but it really does not matter we are having a great time with lovely company. The champagne is flowing and for once I have given the Guinness a miss!

Next week, 1st Dec we have the Grandchildren?s 10 pin bowling and pizza night. There will be 21 of us and it is going to be good fun. It is turning out to be a really super Anniversary.

Welcome Stewart, You will find all you seek and more on this site, some real nice people and good sound advice. The one thing to bear in mind is that Myeloma is a very individual decease so whilst we are all going down the same road it is a very broad road.

Hi Ange, I would have liked to have gone to that one, I always planned to go to one in the South West but have never made any of them yet. 24th is my wedding anniversary so do not think the wife would wear that 😀 So enjoy the day and if they unveil a cure please let us all know;-)

Hi Eve, I could not agree more with Dia. If you can do it take some time out for yourself where you can just "chill? or us older people would say "relax" for at least two consecutive days, seven would be better but you may not have that luxury!
