There is a support group in Plymouth. You will find it under Support Groups on this site. The contact emails is : Jane.Ransome@phnt.swest.nhs.uk.

I might be down in your area later in the year. I will try to pop in to see you if you like. My wife keeps my diary, because I am useless, and when she comes home I will check it out if you would like.

You know Angelina I found your post quite moving (and I do not mean Bowel wise). You are clearly working so hard to support John. I can only wish you the very best.

Velcade is something I have to look forward to apparently, I just hope the Medical Profession has read Dai's post and taken note of Tom's >:-( .

    Welcome (?) Anne

Just go with the flow Anne, one day at a time, and make sure you both enjoy that day. I am nearer your Husbands (Name?) age at 68. I was diagnosed in July 2009, with a major tumour in my neck. I have worked out, from various symptoms, I have had Myeloma since 2007. I have had a Stem Cell Transplant.

Watch out for the "Dex" it can give terrible mood swings in some, I never had them but some people have reported hubbies/wives turning into some kind of monster!!! (My wife said she did not notice any difference in me – was she trying to tell me something I wonder >:-) )

    Kindest regards ? Vasbyte

"Power Failures" that is right on the button as a description for the tiredness 🙂 .

"Power Surges" would be a good descripton of the affects of Dex I think as well.

I have just come back from a very enjoyable couple of days with my Daughter, visiting the Zoo with my youngest Grandchild and then Sports day for another one. By Nine last night I had a major Power Failure, the only trouble is I was awake again by 4:30 this morning grrrrr!

Great, great news Dia. That is absolutely incredible, Velcade, if it works for you, seems amazing stuff.

I lost my three chest hairs at the first dose of Chemo and despite assurances from my Consultant they have not come back. I look for them every day but not a glimmer, bo ho :'-( . I did think of asking Bridget to knitting me a ?chest hat?.

Seriously, I am so pleased for your good news.

My Dear Susan I was so sorry to hear of Kevin?s death.

Kevin came across to me through this site as one of the "Good Guys" and therefore I know he will be missed by all. Use the memories of the many good times you had to get through this dark time. Dig out a memory of him rolling with laughter and fix on it, I am sure you will find he is not far away.

May your God walk with you

Dear Steve, No, I am not sitting here waiting to ?pop my clogs? so to speak.
My guide is the letters PP. That stands for Paraprotien I know but it also stands for Practical and Positive. And, I can assure you, I am very Practical and very Positive. That comes out in many different ways, for instance the practical side of me says,?I have a Terminal Cancer, fact? the Positive side says, ?Yes, but I intend that to be a long time yet regardless, fact?. My short term target is my 50th wedding anniversary on the 24th November 2012. My long term is ?when ever? as my grandchildren would say.

    Thanks for the support.
    Kindest regards
