Hi Eve thanks for that , I was told its the liver getting used to morphine that leads to higher doses At the moment I am relying on Severadol just to get through the day Hopefully the Macmillan nurse will ring and up the Oxycontin dose soon , if not Iwould rather go back on mst morphine at least Tlcan function better on that Take care love Bridget x

Hi Wendy sorry you are going through it , nothing worse than raging diarrhoea!! I think a couple of people on here have had similiar problems on Velcade Have you spoken to your nurse about it possibly being a side-effect of Velcade? I hope it clears up soon and you are able to go home love Bridget

Hi Eve, Shirley and Jo thanks , you have all made me realise just what a high dose of mst I was on , 90mgs in the morning and 100mgs at night, so I shouldnt be surprised the initial dose of Oxycontin wasnt enough The pain has been awful this weekend so I am going to ring tomorrow and ask them to up the dose or put me back on mst morphine Eve I cant believe the arrogance of the man in the bank !!Who the hell do these people think they are to judge others without knowing them !!GRRRRRR!! My youngest daughter has cystic fibrosis and to look at her you wouldnt know it but the snide remarks from strangers can hurt and like you it makes me so angry .I would probably land a thump on their nose except I would fall over doing it !! As for banks dont start me on them !!Its a good job we can see the funny side of life and will not be beaten by the likes of those idiots though love Bridget x

Dear Angelina I hope John pulls through this rough patch but I think you are wise to begin a memory book now . I used to work with children who had lost a parent and I know how precious a book celebrating someones life is to them If you ask people now you will get lots more positive happy memories ,if you leave it till afterwards grief may make it difficult for others to remember all the good times Have you spoken to Erin and Teagans teachers? Schools have access to some excellent resources and they can also support the children now as well Sending you lots of hugs love Bridget x

Thankyou everyone your hugs and kind thoughts are very much appreciated. My lovely father-in-law slipped away in the early hours of this morning whilst sleeping He didnt make it home sadly but at least his wife was able to be with him all the time and children and grandchildren were able to say goodbye too My in-laws met when they were 15 and I can only imagine how hard it will be for my mother-in-law in the coming days but we are a very close family and will look after her and each other as best we can O ne thing struck me today though and it was that at least for most of us myeloma gives us time , for a lot of cancers the disease is so rapid there is little time for treatment So for that I am grateful Thankyou again love to you all Bridget x
