Hi Andy I think you might be right there , an under 30 group would be a very exclusive one !! I should think you were pretty peed off when they gave you the diagnosis, how old were you?!! To be honest I was 51 and still thought I was too young to have myeloma Take care Bridget

Hi Eve I wondered if you have tried Maxi-Joule to help get extra calories into Slim? It is a white powder , tasteless which you sprinkle onto or into foods and it bulks up the calorie count It can be put on anything from mashed potatoes , scrambled eggs , in fact just about anything ! I used to have to use it for my very fussy daughter who has always had low weight and poor appettite. It should be available on prescription Sorry if you already know about this just though it might be worth a try love Bridget x

Hi Keith good news that you have a possible date for your sct. One good thing in using your frozen cells is you wont have to go through the harvest process again , it can be a real pain second time around ! It wont be long before you are feeling tip -top just make sure you dont overdo it in th early days You have such a strong positive attitude to mm that I am sure it wont take you too long to recover and hopefully you will be able to enjoy the summer I think your post may have got lost amongst a bunch of others and thats why not many people picked up on it originally. At least this time around you will know what to take in with you to combat the boredom etc Take care and have a good weekend love Bridget x

Hi Eve you have certaily made me think I need to think about my own situation . I was married and divorced very young but Jeff and I have been togetther for 28 years now , like you it has never bothered us and we are as married as any couple can be . I hadnt realised how difficult it could be for him when I shuffle off my mortal coil So now the dilemma , do I hire a hot air ballon saying marry me or else or just book it !!Ha ha he would have a fit !!But we will have to discuss it ,trouble is Jeff doesnt really want to talk about stuff like that very often Thankyou Eve love Bridget x

Hi Debs I dont get sinus problems as such but every time I am on treatment I do get the symptoms of a cold , permanent snotty nose and constantly need to blow my nose. I suppose this could lead to sinus problems if you are prone to it Hope she can get some relief though its a horrible pain love Bridget x

Hi Kay I think my pps were about 14 ,but I am not certain they might have been higher Unfortunately melphalan will definitely cause your hair to go so it would be a good idea to ask for a referral for a wig now If you have a good hairdresser they can style it as you want. I didnt have a wig because I am such an untidy person and I just knew it would be skewiff without my noticing !! I settled for scarves and soft hats , if you send me your address I will knit you a hat ( bridget.rochfort@btinternet.com). Before very long you actually get used to no hair and may even feel comfy without covering up at all, especially in the warmer weather It did take me several months to recover but when diagnosed I had 98% myeloma in my bone marrow , plus major surgery , I doubt it would take too long for you love Bridget x
