    Dear Susannah,
I'm so so sorry you find yourself in this position. The feeling of being alone and not knowing what to do next or for the best is bewildering. Especially when you are undergoing so much stress.
I don't know what to say to help or make you feel better. But please look up The Liverpool care plan.
I believe you and your husband…[Read more]

  • Dear Gill
I understand why you want to be alone. That's how I wanted it. But I wasn't allowed.
I don't know what is worse being on your own, or putting on a pleasant face for those who don't want to see you miserable.

  • Hi Stewart

Venessa can contact me if she wishes. I too am struggling to come to terms with Ian's MM. The doctor has prescribed diazapan for me and I take it when I need it. It makes me feel calmer but I also believe that god will look after us. What age is Elsie?

I had a down day today, shopping in the supermarket, a nightmare. What do…[Read more]

    Hi Tim

Thanks for your reply. Ian has had a course of CDT which didn't agree with him but he was switched to velcade with steroids which seemed a lot better but the chemo has now been delayed to help his wound heal.

Did you have an issue with walking after your spinal operation? Ian will need physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

  • Hi Gill,
I had my bereavement counselling with cruse 8 months after Peter died. They have a situation in which they do not like to see anyone until 6 months are up.
The 6 month time seams to be THE most raw and painful time when it all hits home that this is real.
I cried throughout the entire series of 6 sessions but at the end felt better…[Read more]

As you may have read I am feeling better now after starting treatment and meeting my Macmillan nurse – as our pals say on here "onwards and upwards" but I am sure I wouldn't have felt as relaxed and positive as this withoutall the support received from the kind friends on here.
love and a big thank you hug.
    keep well love Carol…
