Hi and thank you for your replies. Mum was breathless and we were worried that it was her lungs but we now know it was because of her blood levels being low. I spoke to mum last night and she wasnt feeling as breathless. I will speak to her later and hopefully she will feel much better in herself.

Hi Terry, My mum was on velcade but only had 2 lots of treatment but it affected her heart and kidneys so it was not right for her. But i have spoken to others and its done them really well, so it all does depend on the individual person

Im sorry that you have relapsed. My mum at the moment is on Revlimid and Dex and this seems to be working for her.hopefully there will be lots of options for you to take and you will soon be back in remission.

Hi Ellen, as you know its my mum that has mm. i think its a good idea to have this new category as like others have said it then gives people the choice to look or not as for some it may be too soon or too hard to face it.

Hi Eve, we don't go to the support group as the nearest one is Bury. So this website is a godsend. Like you said it gives you a bit of hope going to see others who are going though mm and how well they are doing. Mum isn't too bad, still very shaky and cant get out and about much. She had her bloods done on Friday and is at the hospital on Wednesday to see how the Revlimid and her bloods are doing. She has only been on Revlimid for 2 weeks so we shall see.If Slim is like my mum he will say he is rattling with all these tablets 🙂
I hope Slim starts to feel better soon and he can see the family again, you take care
