That sure is good news David and a nice start to the New Year. Coincidentally, my catchword when I was involved in mountaineering was "Onwards, ever Upwards" and I would regularly say this to the group that I might be leading, as we re-started our trek after a rest break. Funny old world!.

    My dear Roz,
I wish to share in the very kind words and sentiments that have been spoken by your many friends here. I do not have the eloquence that Dai posesses, but I sincerely endorse everything he has written.
I will think of you on this Friday and pray that your pain of loss eases quickly.

    Dear Gaye,
That is a most wonderful story, particularly at this Christmas time. Your kindness is a wonderful example of the human spirit that seems to be lacking at times in this crazy world. I salute you.

    My dear Min,
Of course you are allowed to get angry. Its an emotion, just like fear, sadness, laughter and love. It means you are human. I have got angry too and have regretted each time that I did, so much. I have been caring (as best as I can) for the past four and a half years and, just like my long suffering but beautiful wife, I get my good and bad days. Dont feel too upset with yourself after throwing a tantrum, just have a short break, or go to the shops, then when you return you will feel a little better. The anger will pass and the situation will slowly return to normal. "Be cheerful. Strive to be happy".

Well David, apologies for not wishing you well. Somehow I didnt realise you were undergoing your most recent procedure. With a positive cheerful personality like yours, I have no doubt you will get through with flying colours. Dont forget, there will be the odd setback (or ambush!) but remember (as Kipling said)"…be thankful you're living, and trust to your luck, and march to your front – like a soldier".
Steady in the ranks, that man.
    Now carry on!
    Kindest regards,
    John
