I really hope that you get as great a result from Velcade as Eve's Slim did By the time you read this you will probably have had you BMB I do hope it was not too bad.

  • Hi Everybody

Stephen's second auto SCT did not take He has now been put on RCD (as above)

Has anybody else had this? If so how did you get on? What were the side effects? etc

I am dreading the dexatude. Although the dose is lower this time the short temper is bubbling a little bit.

    Hi Bridget,

Glad you feeel a little better and that bendamustine seems to be helping. It seems (thank goodness) that there is always something around the corner to help.

Maybe not quickly enough for everybody but still, treatmeent is moving PDQ

  • Tina replied to the topic PROGRESS SO FAR in the forum Treatment 13 years ago

    Hi Bridget,

Good to hear thay you are not suffering too many side effects from the Bendamustine. I do recall Patrick taking anti sickness pills an hour before the injection which seemed to work for him, the low neutrophil counts seems par for the course for this treatment so watch out for any signs of infection.
    Best of Luck

I'm actually pleased you didn't go Dai. If you are unwell the last thing you should do is be among others who could make you worse.

There will be other opportunites. I think we would all rather have you well than at the conference.

Keep in touch and look after yourself

I am sorry you are feeling so rough Dai. The last thing you need is to put yourself in the middle of a crowd of people.

There will be other conferences just concentrate on getting well.

    Dear Min

I cannot even begin to know how you feel. You have found that talking has helped a little. Maybe some bereavement councilling when you come home would enable you to move forward in some small way.

I am sure you know that you will get support on this site but it is not the same as having a sit down and a rant about how you feel.
