I do feel that we are back on the roundabout again.

From Stephen seeing his haematologist 18 days ago he has had a CT scan, an appointment with the radiologist specialist regarding his back pain, a further appointment with the haemotologist, and an appointment with the ENT surgeon regarding the lump on his neck. He is now going to have the lump…[Read more]

How lovely to find that this site is multilingual. I do realise that the swearing censor is a built in part of the site but I have been giggling by imagining a very tired, crotchety, elderly lady with a huge pile of grey hair on top of her head, pencils sticking out of this bird's nest of hair striking words out on her computer screen.

    Dear Sarah.

You are certainly going through the mill. I just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you.

  • Took me ages to get this post on here. I forgot that the site won't let you talk about the hot place you go to that is the opposite of heaven:-/

  • I have not been in here looking at all the posts for a while and need to catch up with posts.

I am so glad you are feeling a bit better Bridget. It all seems to come in bursts doesn't it? Feeling unwell, treatment, feeling better, unwell again, more pills a bit of a break when all seems OK (heaven) and then it all starts again.

    So sorry Slim…[Read more]

The best of luck Nettie. I am petrified of heights and I think you are very, very brave.

I hope you raise a great deal of money.

    All the best Gill

  • HOODWINK

I have patted myself on the back for taking our minds off the dreaded mm with this silly game. Stephen's hospital appointment last night was fairly positive. (will post elsewhere over this.)

And PS to Roz you got it right but I think you made a typo with your alternative word. Did you mean seedling as in tiny plant?

    C'mon…[Read more]

It's the wee small hours and I cannot sleep. How the heck does Stephen sleep so peacefully when he has this horrid, horrid mm and I am the one that lays awake, gets up, makes tea (or worse a glass of wine) It's tea tonight.

Min I love all the things that you have mentioned. I too am lucky enough to be adored by a very special man who fights all…[Read more]

  • Bonjour Mavis, Min, Mari et al. L'ecole et tres bien.

I had a wonderful time, felt very comfortable and came back on a great high. Everyone there seems to be on the same sort of level so I don't feel a complete idiot.

I was so nervous that Stephen dropped me off and picked me up. (I have driven for over 40 years but could not even think how…[Read more]

  • Hi Roz

You could try making a list of things that you would like done eg.When children or grandchildren come round get them foraging in the loft for those photos. I am sure that they will cause some tears but they will bring back some lovely memories.

The photo on here of us looks so jolly as Stephen pinched my bum just as the shutter went…[Read more]

  • Goodness Min for British Gas to send you a bouquet must mean you were realy up and running with your rant. Good for you.:-)

I have no idea of the pain and heartache you must be going through that will come quickly enough, but I do know that I welcome challenges in the face of pain. Somehow (for me) it gives me the strength to carry on.

  • Bl***dy NHS

Don't get me wrong I am very grateful that we have it but how frustrating it is at times. Stephen is still covered by our private health care. For how long we have no idea. We get copies of the invoices so have some idea of just what the treatment costs.

Stephen gets no different treatment than anyone else but it is always on…[Read more]

  • OK I am a fine one to talk. Now in my 62nd year I am no spring chicken. My Mother in Law is 85, and I organise a supermarket delivery for her and an order for some frozen meals from a specialist food company (they are a bit like a more up market frozen meals on wheels service.)

She told me today that she would like to have some more of that Cok…[Read more]
