    Hi Izzie

I’ve just tried to sent a test message to myself without a subject and it gave me the same error. It looks like you need to put something in the subject line.

    Hope that helps

    Hi Carol / David
I’ve had a look into this and I think it’s being caused by the website using cookies to keep you signed in. These cookies are set by default to expire after two weeks so sometimes you get signed out. This is apparently done as a security measure but I think two weeks is a bit short. I’m going to look into extending the expiration date and have the site keep everyone signed in for longer.

    Regards

    Hi David
Apologies for not getting back to you sooner, I was on holiday Mon/Tue. Did you manage to resolve this problem? I noticed you have posted since.

    Hi Keith
Sorry to see you’ve been having a few issues posting to the forum. We made some changes a while ago that cleared up a lot of these problems but it may be that your computer still has a copy of the older forum software. The best way to make sure you have the latest software is to force a refresh by holding down the CTRL key and pressing F5 when viewing the forum.

If you have any more problems please email me directly at webteam@myeloma.org.uk and I’ll be more than happy to help.

    Regards

    Hi Carol

I noticed you had a problem uploading a photo. I’ve increased the maximum size allowed for posting images. If you want to try again it should work now. When you hit the Submit button please be patient as the file will take a short while to transfer, sometimes up to a minute depending on your internet connection speed.

    Hi Folks
I think we have fixed the edit box problem. You may need to refresh the website again to get this working correctly (CTRL + F5).

On an iPad you need to quit to the home screen, go into Settings -> Safari -> Advanced -> Website Data -> Edit (top right) -> Click on the red dot next to http://www.myeloma.org.uk -> Delete. Go back to the website and press the reload button next to the website address.

On to the iPad sticky scrolling issue.

    Hi Mavis

Thanks again for the chat, it was very useful. I’m about to start a new discussion in the General category to try to collect all the problems in one place.

To start a new topic click on where you want to start, such as “Newcomers”. Scroll to the bottom and type the title and what you want to say, then press Submit. This will start a new topic.

We did have a link at the top on the old site, I’ll look at getting that re-instated as it was quite useful.

    Thanks again
    Stuart

    Hi Stephen

Thanks for the information. As you may have noticed from other posts we are having a few teething problems with the new site, especially around editing text. I’m working to get these fixed as soon as possible, I’ll post a general update once these have been sorted out.

I will look into the MM link this morning. If you happen to see any further mistakes please either post here again or send an email directly to me at webteam@myeloma.org.uk.

    Regards

    Hi David

Can you try editing your post but when the edit box appears click on the tab that says “Visual” at the top right of the edit box. Then click inside the message and make some changes.

There seems to be a problem with the “Text” tab. I’m really not sure what the point of the “Text” tab is either so I’m looking into removing it all together or at least making it not the default option.

    Thanks
    Stuart

    Hi Michele

I have removed the “Participant” label so I think your computer is storing an old version of the site. Can you try holding down CTRL and pressing the F5 key at the same time. This will force your computer to reload the website.

Thanks David. I’m not sure what caused the internal server error. We were getting a few of these when we first launched the new site but I thought we’d got that fixed. I’ll investigate further. Can you try emptying your browser cache to see if it makes any difference? I made some changes recently to the server settings.

    Hi Folks

I have now been able to see the issues with the iPad first hand. The “sticky” pages while scrolling and the edit box not working correctly. I will do some research and hopefully have these issues fix shortly.

    Regards
    Stuart
