Excellent. Can you now test to see if using either of these views affects the predictive text problems?

Hi Andy. It must be an account setting then if it’s happening on 2 different devices. I’ve just disabled and re-enabled the Visual tab on your account. Can you try refreshing the page and let me know if the tab appears?

That’s very strange Andy. As far as I’m aware the Mini runs the same software as the iPad.

Just to eliminate one source of possible errors can you delete the website data associated with Myeloma UK to make 100% sure you have the latest version.

You can do this be going to Settings -> Safari -> Advanced -> Website Data. Then Edit (Top right). Choose http://www.myeloma.org.uk. Then Delete. Close Safari and start it up again.

This will only delete the Myeloma UK cached data. You will probably need to log back in however.

    Hi Andy

This could be tricky as I only have access to a full size iPad. First I’d like to work out why you don’t have access to the Visual/Text tabs. You should see something like the attached image. Can you let me know if you don’t see this.

    Hi Andy
I’ve split this topic off so we don’t hijack the original thread. Can you let me know what device you are using? Is it an iPhone/iPad and what version, if you know it.

    Hi Robbojnn

We do occasionally get some junk that slips past our spam filter. There are dozens of attempts to post these kinds of messages every day but most do get blocked. I keep an eye on the forum but if you ever see any spam please drop me an email at webteam@myeloma.org.uk and I will remove it as quickly as I can and delete the offending account.

    Note from WebTeam

    Hi Folks

All the notification email to Treakle’s email account are bouncing so she won’t be receiving notification of your replies. There seems to be something wrong with the email address.

Treakle, if you read this can you please send an email to webteam@myeloma.org.uk so I can check the email address we have for you in the system.

    Hi Karen

This is an issue we have pondered here on several occasions. We do block access to user profiles for non-registered users but we’ve always left the forum fairly open. Part of the reason is that anyone can register so there’s really no barrier to who can read the forum anyway.

I’d also be interested to hear what everyone else thinks about this issue.

    Hi Folks

I had some good feedback regarding the forum and a few obvious omissions. I’ve added the forum title and post title and removed the bar which said who last updated the forum. It seemed a bit pointless when the topic with the latest reply appear at the top of the forum.

Let me know what you think and please keep the suggestions coming.

    Cheers

    Hi Folks

As ever I’m completely open to suggestions and feedback regarding the forum (or the site in general). If you’ve had any difficulties accessing the forum or have any suggestions as to how we can make it better please either post on the forum or send me an email at webteam@myeloma.org.uk.

I’ve noticed a few comments from people saying that they struggle to access the forum but without feedback it’s very hard to work out why. This forum exists for you, so if it’s not delivering I need to know about it.

    Looking forward to your feedback.

    Hi Laura
We don’t have any plans to support tapatalk at the moment. Our web team is very small and I’m afraid we don’t have the resources to support lots of different methods of accessing the forum at the moment. I’ll add it to the list of possible future enhancements though.

    Hi Helen
I’ve edit the photos on your post and changed the way photos are displayed on the site in general so they are a bit more compact. You may have to refresh your browser to see the new version.

    Hi All
I’ve looked into the issue with people being signed out after a short amount of time. I’ve changed the settings so you should now be kept signed in for 6 months rather than 2 weeks. You may get asked again in a few weeks as you are currently set to be logged out after 2 weeks but after you sign in again the new 6 month rule will take effect.

As usual if you run into any issues please let me know in the forum or by email.
    Cheers

    Hi Helen
I’m not sure why the photograph thumbnails are such an odd shape, I’ll have a look into it. This only seems to be happening on the iPad. Very strange.
