    Hi Teresa
The fault is 100% at my end. Please don't be concerned. If you have any questions about the website or need any help drop me an email at webteam@myeloma.org.uk or post a new message on the discussion forum and I'll be happy to help.

    Regards

    Hello Teresa
My name is Stuart and I managed the website here at Myeloma UK. Something very strange happened to your post and all the other people's responses now appear as though they are coming from my account. I am trying to fix this at the moment. Please accept my apologies.

    Regard
    Stuart

    Hello Terry
I have to apologise to yourself and the other people who posted replies to you post. I was trying to merge your two posts together so you would get all your replies in once place and I have accidentally deleted your original post. I'm searching for a way to retrieve the two lost replies right now. Again please accept my apologies.

    Regards
    Stuart.

    Hi
This post seems to have become lost at the bottom of another thread. I have moved it up into the Newcomers section.

    Hi David
I can certainly do this if it's required. If you, or anyone else, spots anything that is out of place please email webteam@myeloma.org.uk with the details and I'll look into it. I have done this in the past when someone has accidentally posted in the wrong place or an unrelated subject has become buried at the bottom of a topic.

    Regards
    Stuart.

    Hi Folks
I have turned off the inappropriate language filter. Ironically we have discovered some unacceptable words in our banned words list. The list came pre-defined with the software we use to drive our website and on closer inspection contains words which should not be blocked.

We will proceed from now on as Dai suggests, if anyone is offended by a post please send me a personal message or email me at webteam@myeloma.org.uk and I will look into it.

    Cheers
    Stuart

I get you David. Similar to the French chicken based dish with red wine. I think we could safely remove that one!

    Hi David
Personally I think the banned word list is a bit over the top in what it filters. It is a default list provided with the software that powers our website. I've been meaning to edit it for a while so it only contains really offensive words, the kind that nobody here would use in the context of the forum anyway.

In the mean while can you copy the text of the message and send it to me at stuart@myeloma.org.uk so I can see what the "offending" word is.

    Thanks
    Stuart.

Glad to hear it Jean. Please drop me an email or reply to this thread if you experience an more problems.

Our website servers were being updated today so this may have caused the site to run a bit slowly. Hopefully this explains your reply issue. Again if it persists please let me know so we can look into it.

    Regards
    Stuart

    Hi Jean
Can you try something for me please. Can you re-type http://www.myeloma.org.uk into the address bar to get to our home page. Then click the very top left link to "Discussion Forum". Once there close Safari. Then open Safari again and browse the forum. I think the problem has something to do with us renaming sections of the website and the iPhone is remembering the old layout which no longer exists.

    Regards
    Stuart.

    Hi Jean
Sorry to say we are struggling to re-create the problem at our end. Can you explain a bit further what you mean by "No problem when I clicked on your link. Just when I open Safari". In the mean time I will have a look around the web to see if this new update is the problem.

    Stuart.

    Hi Tom
Ben is one of the developers of our website. For some reason this thread went missing over the weekend but it seems he has managed to retrieve it from the void.

    Cheers

    Hi David
Thanks for the suggestion I shall add it to the feature requests. It does seem like an obvious omission.

Having investigated a little further it seems the permissions to edit and delete posts has gone wrong. Normally only administrators can do this but somehow that right has been given to everyone. I will look into getting this fixed as soon as possible.
