Hi Gill,
My thoughts have been bent towards the two of you for weeks and especially for the past few days. It was yours and Stephen's 'voices' that were the first to speak to me when I discovered Myeloma UK… brave voices, bright voices and you strengthened me more that you will ever know.
Now Stephen has slipped off the radar, peacefully, painlessly… and now my thoughts are with you and you alone.
Enough for now, except to say, much love as always.
Dai.
Hi,
Sorry to hear about your Dad. I am well aware how under the radar myeloma can be but even I am pretty shocked by the low standard of care given to your Dad, even if your GP was ignorant of myeloma, like you say he should have carried out some blood tests etc. I am sure that you wont be feeling like it right now but you could complain to his local primary care trust. You dont say how old your Dad is or which hospital is going to be treating him but I am sure he will now be in safe hands, and get the appropriate treatment underway to reduce the pain etc

Hi Yamyam
Sorry to see you had to join but you have come to the correct place, and sorry to read you felt let down by the NHS 🙁 but now they have your Dad on the radar all should flow nice,as for me and only me I would go for anything to help put this dreaded MM on the sidelines until a cure comes along so for me I would do it.
Good Luck in the decision your dad has to make.
Love
Tom "Onwards and Upwards" xx
