Hi all, we had a feed about sensitive teeth awhile back. I just thought I would update that.

My sensitive teeth and jaw started about 4 weeks after SCT (14 Dec 2010). I could not use the right hand side of my mouth to chew anything, and the teeth at the lower rear (somebody will know the technical name I suspect) were very sensitive, painfully so, to hot and cold.

I am happy to report that I can now chew on the right hand side without any problem and the sensitivity issue is definitely fading.

Has anybody else had a similar experience?

    Kindest regards ? Vasbyte

Excellent news David, I'm glad your sensitivity is fading … big T-bone steak on the menu for you tonight then, followed by something nice and cold?!

My John has terrible teeth since being diagnosed with MM … actually don't know if its the MM or just his age (I'm saying that with a tentative screwed up face!). His teeth have been crumbling and falling out piece by piece – euch, that sounds horrid actually. But in truth, he's loosing quite a few bits of his teeth each year now … there are so many crowns in there now he could be classed as royalty!!

We use sensodyne toothpaste as matter of course in our house so I don't think sensitivity is an issue with him.

    Sending healing thoughts and love

One of the first things they did when my dad was diagnosed was to take all of his teeth out, he was told that the treatment would attack his teeth, it always annoyed him that he had to wear the falsers and couldn't really enjoy his favourite things!! Glad your senstivity is fading David.
