  • Hi Eve thanks for that , I was told its the liver getting used to morphine that leads to higher doses At the moment I am relying on Severadol just to get through the day Hopefully the Macmillan nurse will ring and up the Oxycontin dose soon , if not Iwould rather go back on mst morphine at least Tlcan function better on that Take care love Bridget x

    Hi Wendy sorry you are going through it , nothing worse than raging diarrhoea!! I think a couple of people on here have had similiar problems on Velcade Have you spoken to your nurse about it possibly being a side-effect of Velcade? I hope it clears up soon and you are able to go home love Bridget

  • Hi Eve, Shirley and Jo thanks , you have all made me realise just what a high dose of mst I was on , 90mgs in the morning and 100mgs at night, so I shouldnt be surprised the initial dose of Oxycontin wasnt enough The pain has been awful this weekend so I am going to ring tomorrow and ask them to up the dose or put me back on mst morphine Eve I…[Read more]

    Hi Bridget it was the 1st drug for his mm he was prescribed by a pain specialist nurse, and he could not get away with it. He prefers mst 10 mg or 20 mg and tramadol combined. He hasn't left his bed all day and hasn't had any…Says if he is not standing up he doesn't need it… Might just tie him to the bed now!!!
