    Dear Bridget
So sorry to hear your news, hope you get better news soon and get everything dealt with. I haven't posted in ages, even though I look at the site almost every day. I've been really ill, long story, I may post about it later.

In the meantime I send you lots of love, I know we haven't met but I just know you are a lovely person.

Dear Bridget, I haven't posted for a long time, that is another story, but I do come on here and read from time to time and I've been following your posts over the last few weeks. I am so sorry you have been in so much pain and I was hoping it would be sorted out sooner.

Anyway, I am so pleased that you will have the RT and this coming Wednesday. You are such a lovely person, when I read your posts I always feel uplifted, because there you are in pain but you still have time for others. In the meantime I think of you and can't wait for your post saying "I don't havde pain". I agree with not going down the methadone route, if it was me, I would do it the same way as you.

Thanks to each and everyone of you. I've got to get this stuff out of my mind – quick. I will, I will work on all of the suggestions. I know deep down that it is useless to be and think the way I feel. I have a huge battle to fight and I'm doing quite well now so that I must concentrate on. Thanks once again. love roberta XXX

Hi Norman, I had my SCT at Hammersmith Hospital in London in Sept 2010. I could use my laptop but sometimes it was hard to get a signal from their wi fi. The food wasn't very good but family are allowed to bring you in what you like, obviously the food has to be fresh, I was given details about that before admission. The care I got was good but sometimes I did feel that some of the agency nurses were not so good. The Doctors were excellent. You have you own room and that was okay, it had a telly and a music system. I had velcade before my sct and it worked for me very well. Best of luck with everything. I don't often post on here but I do read and hope to be of help to others in the future. Best wishes, Roberta

Hello David, I have been reading your blog and sympathising with you. It does sound as if you are on the mend and I hope you get out of hospital soon. My trouble was I counted my chickens before they hatched and it made my whole stay in hospital difficult, with me every day wishing I could get out. In no time at all you will be out and enjoying all the familiar things at home. I am now three months post transplant and apart from the fatigue I am doing extremely well. I had great results yesterday and will post about that later. I just wanted to drop by and wish you well and send you loads of good wishes. Roberta XX

Hi Bridget, my first proper post on this new site goes to you. I too turned into michelin woman when I was on Dex and I was on velcade too. Two months after stem cell transplant I am back to orignal weight and all the puffiness has gone. I'm almost sure dex is the main cause. I did overeat though, dex made me so hungry as well as being awake most of the time.
