Hi everybody, had the melphalan Tues 10pm and the Cells back 9.15am today
I am now back home as this is the way they do things in Stockton although I realise I will be back in hospital once the blood counts level out.
Hopefully they will start to rise quickly and I will be out in a week or so
as was the case the first time.
I'm feeling very tired but up to now I've managed to avoid being sick.
I'll be glad when the blood counts start rising and I can get some of my strength back.
I know Debs and Jet are going through the same as me and hope things are going well for you both.
Take care all of you and I'll keep you all up to date as and when I feel well enough to do so.

    Bye for now…Keith.

    Hi Keith

Stephen (mm husband) has not long completed his second SCT. To be honest it is "one day chicken and the next day feathers" but he is improving all the time. Hope you are back on your feet soon Gill xx

PS for reference I spent some time in Ypsilanti Michigan in the 70s. There were a great many people from Kentucky who had moved to Michigan to work at the Ford factories. Some things were known as Ypsi-tucky sayings the chicken thing is one and the other I still use today is "if God's willing, and the creek don't rise" 😎

    Hi Keith,

The home bit threw me… rather you than me was my first reaction. Not because of any hygiene or general health issues, I am sure that you have everything covered in that respect… I was thinking more along the lines of being left alone to get on with it. Still, I can see the benefits of being surrounded by familiar things… and home cooking… its nice to say no to something you may have eaten if you felt like it… not an option you get in hospital.:-)

My very best wishes for an uncomplicated, uneventful, dull and boring couple of weeks Keith… then second gear and away.8-)

    Well done Keith!

Yes, things are going well for me too, so far. I've written about it under another post that Dai started wishing you and me Bon Voyage! So I won't put it here again.

Hope you continue feeling well. I don't know about you, but I really don't mind the tiredness. It's quite nice to just give in to sleep. I'm just hoping I don't get too much of the other stuff.

    Best wishes
    Jet x

    Krikey Keith,
That was quick, I thought I was going to be popping in to see you in FRH. Does this mean if you become ill, you will now go to Stockton? not Freeman?
Whatever I hope its pretty uneventful, though inevitably you will be feeling proper poorly at some point.
Let us know how your doing if you can get your head up off the pillow between calls on the big white phone LOL
Seriously, I hope you are able to be well enough to stay at home and recover in Peace and Quiet, with all the comforts of your own home.
    Good Luck
