Hello everybody,had my 2nd post SCT check today.
My PP's have been hovering around the 5 mark then 2,months ago doubled to 10.26 and then 10.98 at the last check 2,weeks ago when I had my monthly Zometa.
HB and Nutros are a little lower than they should be although they never really have been at the right level.
So it's the dreaded BMB next Tuesday to see whether the MM is on the move again.
If it is then 9mths is a poor return out of a SCT first one I got 2yrs 4mths.
PP's stayed at zero for 2yrs the first time but I never got below 2.65 this time also I haven't reached the same level of well-being this time around which is par for the course.
It could be just a blip I've been told but better safe than sorry so hence the Biopsy,and just before my holidays.

Fingers crossed indeed Keith… let's hope that this is a blip… the doubling must have been a shock but the next movement is very small so it could well be just a bit of movement within normal parameters.:-|

Are you on any kind of maintenance therapy? I note that sometimes they give Thalidomide in small doses at such occurrences… it might be worth discussing. But I suppose the BM Biopsy will tell its tale.. and I truly hope its just a case of tittle-tattle.:-)

Good luck Keith. Hope you can make your holiday. I know how important that can be as we are off to Spain on Monday and it would be a disaster if the myeloma got in the way.

Best wishes and finger crossed for you Keith. I am in a very similar situation to you all be it only having had one SCT. PP 4 in Nov and now 9. Hope all goes well for you.

Thank's for your replies everybody…To answer your point Dai no I'm not on any maintenance therapy.
The only treatment I get is Zometa once a month when I have my bloods checked at the same time.
The Consultant did say that having the BMB was a precaution just incase the MM had become active in the bone marrow which hopefully is not the case.
It's an all too familiar scenario when I relapsed the first time PP's 14 although on that occasion I was in lot's of pain.
At the moment I feel ok without been on top of the world,which I have accepted is a thing of the past.
I would happily continue feeling as I am as long as the MM is kept at bay.
Interesting what you say Dai about the Thalidomide but at the moment I'm only interested in the outcome of the biopsy and I'll keep you all updated on that.

Hi Keith I remember Michael after his second SCT his pps did go up at first then went down, so fingers crossed

Hi Keith.
Hopefully it's just a blip and not a relapse. My last PP reading was 41! I've never been below 36 🙁 I too have the dreaded BMB Tuesday might see you at the day unit. Hopefully we'll both get some good news.
