Hi everyone well today ,especially this evening has been brilliant!! I took my dex nice and early and by lunchtime no back pain!!Hoping it will last till at least tomorrow as its wonderful The only thing is having to spend the early part of the day still dopey from all the morphine , but my head actually feels clear tonight Today was the first time I have ever looked forward to taking dex and I took it without a single moan!! Yes Mavis only one more sleep after tonight so I will now be able to bear it I think love Bridget x

Hi Gina it must be a relief to know mum will get some answers next week All fingers and toes will be crossed and you have the positive vibes from all the lovely people on here too Now thats a force to be reckoned with!! Well I love this post too! I also love the look on the children ,now grandchildrens faces on xmas morning when they peek in the living room to see if he has been!! I love books all shapes age and sizes Suprisingly I love my laptop Ilove my life I love the way good people care about others even those we have not met I love Dais way with words I will have to stop for now but I will be back ! Hi Min sorry I cant help about bank accounts but when Jeffs dad died we were amazed at how many phone calls , forms and visits it took just to get his mums life back on track In Olives case she is a very lively 82 but she would have found it too hard As you said about not being able to motivate yourself was exactly how she felt too On a spooky note Ken also had a Premium bond cheque to pay in !That one drove Jeff nuts ! At least your rant at British Gas lit a few fires under backsides by the sound of it !! love Bridget x

Dear Min with a lovely family like yours you will get through this awful time If you do stop and have a weep dont beat yourself up about it though Mind you I think painting is great when you are upset I once decorated the whole house in a fortnight at one horrible time Keep on keeping on Min love Bridget xx

Hi Min Peters service sounds lovely I think to celebrate someones life is so important We lost my lovely father-in-law recently and the service was very similiar , even down to telling everyone how the grandchildren called him grumpy grand-dad! The last song was chosen by him and up until it started playing everyone was sobbing But the moment we heard "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life from Monty Python a smile spread around the room and a grin when the swear word was left in! Hi Sylvia sorry to hear you had a down spell but very glad to hear you are feeling more positive . I usually find myself feeling down for a few days after hearing disappointing news or results but to be honest after a couple of days I think what the heck and carry on, because what choice do we have There are so many new things coming through and if your doctors are anything like mine they are fully on board loooking for new treatments all the time So keep on keeping on we are all there with you and if you have a down day just yell and there will always be someone on here to help you out of it Good luck with your next treatment love Bridget x

Good Morning Eveeryone Well I have returned from the land of the living dead!! Ok it was only a flu type bug– but I get no sympathy here as Jeff has man-flu and toothhache and evryone knows that is the worst thing ever! The good news is I have a radiotherapy appointment for next Wednesday which is brilliant !! I wasnt sure it would be possible to do it in one session but looks like he is going to try , bless him. But I mustnt get too excited in case it takes longer but just knowing there is some hope helps so much So my lovely friends it wont be too long before I stop moaning and groaning , thankyou all so much for you support as always I couldnt manage without you Bridget xxx
