You are right there John. There are several ex-forces personnel on the site. I served in the REME, joined 1960 and was invalided (nothing to serious I might add) out in 1978. I enjoyed my 17 years; I spent 12 years in the Parachute Brigade serving in: 16th Parachute Workshops, Brigade HQ, 7th Parachute Regiment, 22 Air Squadron and 1st Parachute Logistic Regiment. I have just returned from a reunion of friends my wife and I made in Dusseldorf, Germany in 1973. We meet once a year and take it in turns to host the weekend – good fun.

Is it possible to have the last post first, after the intial discussion post, as opposed to the present system where we have to scan through sometimes 26 posts to get to the current one. Normally you can reverse posts on sites I visit but I have not noticed a button for that – sorry if I have missed it:-)

Hi Nicki, I am pleased that Sam is coping so well at the moment. I am right behind him, I go in for SCT on Monday 22 Nov, so will be following your posts with great interest.

My understanding of the process is that he probably will feel a lot worse over the next 3 to 5 days. But we must bear in mind that it affects everybody differently. Some have no problems at all, lucky them:-P

Hi Stuart, May I start by asking the you to pass on my thanks, the new site is a real improvement on the old – well done.
I was going to ask if we could have a couple of non MM topics; such as Humour and Photographs I feel it would broaden the site appeal and give us somewhere to share things other than MM. I think the existing topics are good but will give it some more thought.
    Regards

    Hi Shirly,
Before you try to uplaid a picture find a picture you want to use and then note where it is in your system.

To upload a profile picture click on your name this will take you to your profile page. On the right you will see a list of underlined headings. One of them will be Profile Picture. Click on the browse button and go to where your picture is click open and bingo:-)

Thanks girls, It is nice to know, sort of reassuring, that everything is "normal" so to speak.
I am planning to take in my laptop, my children bought it for me for my birthday with this occasion in mind. So hopefully I am going to be able to give you the news as it happens!
It is no hassle to go to the hospital Min it is 500 yds from my front door, it is such a lovely place and the staff are more my friends than I am their patent. I walk through a lovely park, where I used to walk my dogs ? such great memories, and I am there.

    kindest regards
    David
